Receptionist

In 25 words or less...

Describe your  job...

As the afternoon receptionist I answer the phones and greet visitors to the third floor. I update the Prayer and Praise Line as needed, & update & distribute the Prayer Sheet. I mail the Sunday sermons and announcements to our shut ins. I'm also responsible for keeping the third floor office stocked with general office supplies and call for repairs for our copier/printers when needed.

Describe your family...

My husband Don and I are celebrating our 23rd anniversary this November. We usually spend one weekend a month on the Central Coast, where we plan on retiring to in about three years. Don is an Assistant Manager/Technical Writer for American Honda corporate office. Our son, Martin, graduated from culinary school this year and is pursing a career as a chef. His wife Tiffany is now a licensed Marriage and Family Counselor. Our daughter, Allison, has been working as a licensed cosmetologist/stylist for two years now and is taking classes at Cerritos College. And we currently have one dog, and two very spoiled cats at home.

Describe a normal day...

I am very blessed to be able to have the mornings to myself during the week. I go swim laps, take our dog for a walk, and then "play" in my rose garden and water before it's time to get ready for work. Don, Allison and I usually have dinner together during the week. Then it's time to get ready for tomorrow!

What were you doing before you came to 1BL....

I was a property manager and book keeper in Los Alamitos.

Most embarrassing moment:

Too many to choose from.

One thing about the staff people don't realize:

There is a lot of hard work and dedication every week behind the scenes in the church office and around campus. The staff work hard for Sunday mornings to run smoothly in every area. And leading up to the holidays, there is even more hard work, dedication and preparation that takes place!

Favorite Color:

Green
